This full moon, it caught me off guard. Where did February go? One minute it was the beginning of the month and suddenly here we are in March, with another full moon. But you know this one? It's special. It's a total lunar eclipse. The earth is moving between the sun and the moon, so our planet's shadow is falling across the moon's surface. You'd think that would make the moon go dark, but it doesn't.Instead, it turns this moon into an incredible copper red color. And it happens because the earth's atmosphere bends sunlight around the edges of our planet. The blue light gets scattered away, but red light passes through and it hits the moon. So basically, every sunrise and sunset happening on earth is being projected onto the moon all at once. It's a copper moon. Not everyone will see it tonight. It depends on where you live. If you happen to be in western North America, Australia, or eastern Asia, you guys have the best seats. And the next total lunar eclipse is not for almost three years. It's kind of crazy that so many people are going to miss this completely. They're inside. They're looking at their screens and they're worrying about tomorrow. They're totally unaware of this show happening above. But that's perfect for what we're doing tonight. We're going to use this copper moon to help you get the good sleep you need. And if you've ever wondered whether you have any control over your dreams, you do. And we're also going to help you with that. We know that what you focus on before sleep directly affects your dreams.Researchers call this dream incubation. And it's been validated by multiple studies. They show that the thoughts and emotions we focus on during that drowsy transition into sleep, they significantly influence what we dream about. So tonight, we're going to use this rare beautiful moon to guide your mind toward positive thoughts and images. By the time you drift off, instead of your usual bedtime worries, your mind will be filled with beauty and wonder. I know that's a big promise, but we're going to do our best here.We want your dreams to reflect those feelings. You deserve beautiful dreams. And we're going to show you exactly how to invite them in. But first, as always, please make sure you're somewhere safe to fall asleep. We use hypnotherapy and relaxation techniques designed to guide you into sleep. So please be in your comfortable bed and not anywhere you need to stay alert. And if these episodes help you, please follow the show. The more you listen, the more likely you are to find that perfect journey that works for you. Plus, hypnotherapy actually gets more effective with practice. Your mind becomes more receptive each time. Think of it as training your brain to be really, really good at falling asleep. Now, let's get you settled.Take a moment to get completely comfortable in your bed. Adjust your pillows, fluff them up if you need to. Find that perfect position. And pull your covers up to wherever you like, under your arms or up to your chin. Just be very conscious of how settled you feel in your bed. How every limb can be still. How quiet it is. How dark. And as you lie here, I'd like you to listen very carefully to my voice. My voice will be your guide, leading you deeper and deeper into relaxation. We're going to count down from 10 to 1. And as you listen to my words, you'll drop deeper into peaceful darkness. You'll naturally move into a peaceful state where your mind can wander freely and safely. The more you follow my voice, the more comfortable and peaceful you'll become. Let's start with 10 and feel yourself sinking down into your mattress. Your head heavy on the pillow. It's almost as if gravity has increased, making your body feel so much heavier. 9. Let your shoulders drop away from your ears. Let them soften. Let all those tight muscles let go. Releasing all the tension from your day. 8. Your arms now are growing heavier. Your hands uncurled. Your fingers completely relaxed. Notice now how your heart rate is beginning to slow. We want it to settle to about 60 beats per minute, which is optimal for sleep. 7. You're sinking even deeper now. Your chest is softening with each breath. 6 Feel your back melting into the bed. Support it completely. Your entire body is supported completely. 5. You may or may not notice that your core body temperature is starting to drop slightly. This is your body's natural preparation for sleep. 4. Your hips, which can feel tight and tense as the day progresses, are starting to settle deeper, releasing all the day's tension. 3. Your thighs and knees are also growing heavy and still. Feel the circulation flowing more freely to your hands and feet. Everything is relaxed. Every muscle is softening. 2. Even your feet are relaxing completely. There is absolutely no pressure on them anymore. They feel so loose and comfortable out of tight shoes, able to flex and move and just let go. 1. You've now arrived in perfect darkness, perfectly relaxed. Your nervous system has shifted completely into rest mode. And as you rest here in this relaxed state, I want you to become aware of the ceiling above you. Imagine this solid ceiling starting to shimmer and fade to become transparent like a mist. And there in the vast sky above you is the magnificent full moon of March. This is not an ordinary moon. Tonight, it's something extraordinary. The total lunar eclipse. The bright silver light transforms into the most beautiful copper red glow. The moon doesn't disappear. Instead, it becomes this stunning, warm, burnished copper color. Hanging in the sky like a jewel. And now I'd like you to imagine yourself rising, floating upward through the dissolved ceiling, drawn to this copper moon. You're completely safe, moving slowly and peacefully through the night air. The copper light grows stronger as you rise. Bathing you in its warm glow. It feels different from ordinary moonlight. It's softer. Warmer. And as you float, you seem to understand the moon's message. It's saying, look up. See the magic and beauty that surrounds you always. Your worries about tomorrow. Your regrets about today. For real. But they are very small compared to the vast and wonderful universe you are a part of. From here, suspended in the moon's glow, you can see the entire world spread out below you. But we'll focus on a small patch of earth far, far below. Where winter snow is melting away. In the warming soil, tiny green shoots are pushing through. They're so small. So determined. So full of life. Bulbs planted months ago in autumn are stirring, sending delicate roots deeper. This is how nature works. In cycles. Spring always returns after winter. If you're feeling worn down by the world right now, remember that all things change. All things pass. All things renew themselves in their own time. Maybe tonight, your mind is filled with those worries that visit at bedtime. Concerns about tomorrow. And fears about things that are beyond your control. Regrets about words spoken or left unspoken. These feelings are real, but just like these tiny shoots found their way through the soil toward light, you too will find your way through whatever you're facing. Some of your worries may come to pass, but most are just shadows that will never take form. And never forget how you've weathered difficult seasons before. And you have always found your way to renewal. Let's move from this place to somewhere very different, but still illuminated by the full moon's light. A city street in the evening hours. At first glance, it seems busy and impersonal. People hurrying past each other. But look more carefully, and you'll see the small recognitions of each other's humanity happening constantly. A person holds a door open for someone carrying packages, and they wait patiently. A dog walker stops to let their pet sniff and explore. They show such patience and love. And the dog's tail wags with as much or more affection returned. At a coffee shop window, you see a barista carefully creating a little heart in the foam, adding that tiny moment of beauty to someone's day. A bus driver smiles and says good night to each person stepping off into the evening. These moments are everywhere. Thousands of them happen every day. Small acknowledgments that we see each other. That we care. The overwhelming majority of people, when given the chance, choose to acknowledge each other's humanity in small, beautiful ways. You live in a world where strangers hold doors, where people can be patient, and where someone may take care to make your coffee just a little nicer. These moments are the true pulse of humanity, not the conflicting crisis that fills our screens. But this quiet, constant current of everyday kindness that flows all around us. The copper moon's gentle glow moves now, drawing your attention to yet another scene. This one shows us a different kind of everyday kindness. Here we see the helpers, a crossing guard patiently helping kids get home safely, a school worker who always takes an extra moment to chat with elderly neighbors, a teacher staying late to write encouraging comments on papers, night shift workers keeping watch while others sleep, security guards making their quiet rounds, ensuring everyone's safety. These helpers are everywhere, often invisible, but always there when needed. So many of these people chose their careers because they had something to give, a genuine desire to help, and they become worn down, maybe even cynical. They're only human after all. But that original spark that led them to choose this path, that desire to be useful, to matter, to help, it's always there beneath the surface. How fortunate we are to live in a world where people actively choose careers that make life a little easier, a little kinder, a little safer for the rest of us. The copper moon turns its gentle light toward tomorrow, and you begin to imagine the small, beautiful moments waiting for you there.Maybe tomorrow morning you will savor that first sip of coffee in a quiet moment, really tasting it. If you have young children, you might linger for a moment, feeling the warmth of that small child in your arms, breathing in a particular sweetness of their air, their complete trust in your love. Feel the unconditional affection of a pet, their happiness at simply being near you, their ability to live completely in the present moment. And think of that colleague that you always enjoy talking with, someone who makes work feel lighter, someone who also sees the humor in the crazy difficult situations you both share. Count in your mind how many times tomorrow you might smile at a stranger and receive a smile in return. It happens more often than you think.Imagine yourself being more mindful, more aware of the people around you who would help if you asked, who would listen if you spoke up. Notice, too, the opportunities that will arise for you to be that person for someone else, to offer a kind word, a moment of patience, a small gesture of care. It's so easy to become lost in our own inner world, that we miss these chances to be the helper someone needs. You may be carrying real pain, genuine worries, significant challenges. The world can be a very hard place. What I'm offering isn't a cure for life's difficulties, but a practice for these moments before sleep. Because you deserve beautiful dreams, dreams where your anxieties and worries have no place. Our dreams reflect our state of mind, and creating this positive awareness before sleep makes peaceful dreams possible. As the copper moon continues to bathe you in its warm light, you feel yourself gently floating back down, returning slowly to your bed.The copper light settles around your bed like a soft blanket, and you understand the moon's gift. Your ability to shift your focus from the endless stream of negative news and anxious thoughts to the quiet miracles that are happening everywhere around you. Your body feels so heavy now, so completely relaxed in your comfortable bed.The moonlight continues to glow. Perhaps now it's just in your memory, but its warmth remains with you. Your breathing now is slow, deep, peaceful. Each breath draws you further into this state of calm, contentment. Feel how your muscles have released any tension. Your shoulders are soft and relaxed. Your hands rest open. Your thoughts are growing softer now, a little fuzzy around the edges. The worries that were circling your mind earlier have faded, replaced by images of better things. Better days, better sleep. This is how you prepare your mind for the dreams you deserve. Not by fighting the negative thoughts, but by gently filling your awareness with positive ones. The copper moon above will continue its journey across the sky, and you are part of that vast and peaceful rhythm. You're connected to something much larger than your daily concerns. To the cycles of nature. To the helpers who surround you. To all the small miracles that make life beautiful when you know how to see them. Tonight, your dreams will be filled with this awareness. You've breathed life into positivity simply by shifting your mindset, by choosing to notice beauty instead of focusing only on problems. The mind that falls asleep in gratitude and wonder tends to dream in the same spirit. Rest now in the March moon's glow.Let its warm light carry you into the sweetest dreams. Dreams of spring returning. Of all the small joys waiting for you tomorrow.Dreams that remind you of how much beauty exists in this world when you lift your eyes from worry and look around with an open heart. The copper moon watches over you as you drift deeper into sleep. It's message. There is so much more magic and goodness in your life than you sometimes remember to notice. Drift now and dream of all the beautiful things that surround you. Always. I'm Suzanne. And this is your ticket to Snoozeville. Sleep now. Rest now. Rest now. Sleep well.
