Have you ever caught yourself dreaming of more in your life, only to immediately feel a twinge of guilt? I know I have. That quiet voice that whispers, isn't what you have enough? There are so many with less. Isn't wanting more just greed and disguise? Living in a world of such stark contrasts where some have so much while others struggle for basics. The desire for abundance can feel complicated. What I've come to understand is that abundance isn't just about accumulation. It's not about hoarding resources or living in excess. True abundance is about flow, about allowing life's richness to move through you and around you. About having enough that you can both receive and give freely. When we yearn for more time, we're often seeking the freedom to be fully present with those we love, to pursue what brings us meaning. When we desire more security, we're honoring our need for solid ground from which we can extend ourselves to others. And yes, when we wish for those material pleasures, the small luxuries that bring moments of delight, we're acknowledging our very human need for joy. Perhaps the most important lesson is that scarcity doesn't serve anyone.Living constantly at your limits, whether financially, emotionally, or energetically, leaves you with nothing to share, nothing to offer. And a world where everyone has only just enough is a world without generosity, without the overflow that allows us to lift each other up. Tonight, as you prepare for rest, we're going to explore how to invite greater abundance into your life. This isn't about manifesting mansions or millions, though I won't stop you if that's what you desire. It's about opening yourself to the possibility of more. More opportunities, more connection, more resources, more joy, while staying grounded in genuine appreciation for what already exists in your life. What makes this bedtime practice so powerful is that as you drift towards sleep, your conscious mind, with all its doubts and limitations, begins to quiet those protective barriers of skepticism and self-judgment start to lower. Your subconscious mind becomes more receptive to new possibilities, new patterns of thinking that can gradually reshape how you interact with the world around you. But before we begin this journey together, a gentle reminder to ensure that you are somewhere safe and comfortable when falling asleep. For complete details, there's a full disclaimer in the show notes. And now for my completely shameless plea. If these episodes have been helping you find rest or bringing you comfort, would you consider following the podcast? And to those who have already followed, thank you.Your support means more than you know. Now let's begin our journey toward deep relaxation and abundance. Find yourself a comfortable position, making any final adjustments to your pillows or blankets.Allow your body to be fully supported by your bed, releasing any need to hold yourself up. I'd like you to imagine that you are standing at the top of a beautiful staircase. This isn't an ordinary staircase. It's your personal pathway to both deep relaxation and abundant possibility. The steps before you are wide and inviting. As you stand at the top, take a deep breath in through your nose and exhale slowly through your mouth.Feel yourself becoming aware of the weight of your body, the subtle tension you've been carrying throughout your day. And now take your first step down. Feel the muscles in your forehead and around your eyes softening.Your eyelids become heavy and relaxed. Even the tiny muscles around your eyes that you didn't realize were holding tension. Now release completely.Take another breath and move down to step number nine. With this step, feel the relaxation spreading to your jaw and throat. Your teeth may separate as your jaw loosens. Your throat feels open and easy. All the words of the day have been spoken. There's no need to hold any tension here.Moving down to step eight now, direct your attention to your shoulders. So often we carry the weight of our responsibilities right here. As you take this step, feel your shoulders softening, dropping away from your ears.Perhaps they melt into the surface beneath you. Any tightness or stiffness dissolving with each breath. Step seven brings relaxation to your arms and hands.Feel a pleasant heaviness moving through your upper arms, flowing like sunshine down through your elbows, forearms, wrists, and finally reaching your fingertips. With step six, focus on your chest and your upper back. As you breathe naturally, imagine each breath bringing a sense of expansiveness to this area. The muscles between your shoulder blades release, and your ribs can move freely with each breath. No restriction. Step five guides relaxation into your abdomen. Feel the gentle rise and fall of your belly with each breath. The center of your body where so many emotions are felt can now rest. As you reach step four, bring your awareness to your lower back and hips. These areas work so hard to support you throughout your day. Now they can completely surrender to the surface beneath you. Feel how your body becomes heavier, more connected to your bed.Step three brings a wave of relaxation flowing through your thighs and knees. These strong muscles can now completely let go. Feel the difference between holding and releasing. As your legs become pleasantly heavy, perhaps tingling with relaxation, moving to step two, the calming energy flows down into your calves, ankles, and finally reaches your feet. Even the smallest muscles between your toes can release now. Your entire body, from the crown of your head to the tips of your toes, is enveloped in a cocoon of deep relaxation. And now you take the final step, reaching the bottom of the staircase. Take a moment to appreciate how different your body feels now compared to when we began. Notice the heaviness, the warmth, the sense of being completely supported in this deeply relaxed state.Your mind becomes wonderfully receptive to new possibilities. Take one more deep breath. Feel yourself becoming even more relaxed. Even more receptive in front of you is a door. Push the door open. You find yourself in a beautiful garden.Unlike any you've seen before, the air here is clear and sweet. The light has a special quality, golden and warm, making everything it touches seem more vibrant, more alive. This is the garden of abundance. As you follow a winding path through the garden, you notice it leads to a circular clearing where an ornate golden frame stands upright, suspended by nothing at all. As you approach, you realize it's a special kind of mirror, not reflecting what is, but reflecting what could be. Approach this mirror now and stand comfortably before it.Look into the glass and ask yourself, what would true abundance feel like in my life? Allow whatever images, feelings, or thoughts arise to form naturally. Perhaps you see yourself surrounded by supportive relationships, and maybe with creative energy flowing easily, or with the financial resources that bring you freedom. Whatever forms of abundance appear are uniquely yours, not what others have told you to want, and not what you think you should desire. But what would bring genuine fulfillment to your life? This mirror has special properties. It responds to your deepest truth. The clearer your vision of abundance becomes, the more the images in the mirror become vivid and lifelike. As you continue gazing into the mirror, the scene starts to change. You now see yourself, but it's you living with this abundance already present in your life. Study this version of yourself.Notice the expression on your face, and how you carry yourself, how you move through the world, when abundance flows freely. This isn't a distant future self, or an impossible dream. This is you, your true nature. This abundant self has always existed within you. Continue along the path until you reach a sunlit clearing. In the center, resting on a simple wooden bench, you notice a pair of glasses catching the light.Something about them draws you closer. As you pick them up, you realize these are no ordinary glasses. They seem to shimmer slightly in your hands, as if alive with possibility.Gently place them on your face. In an instant, the world transforms. Not in a flashy dramatic way, but in countless subtle shifts that together create an entirely new perspective, where before you might have seen a wall. You now notice a door you hadn't recognized, where once you saw obstacles, you now perceive stepping stones. People walking through the garden now appear, surrounded by a gentle glow. You can see clearly how many are extending their hands in support, offering connections and opportunities you might have overlooked before.Paths that seem to end abruptly, now continue beyond what you could previously see. The places where you stumbled or struggled in the past, now shine with a particular light, not highlighting failures, but illuminating the strength, resilience, and wisdom you gained from each experience. You see clearly the times you persevered, when you moved forward despite uncertainty, when you learned and grew. These glasses don't change reality. They simply allow you to see what was always there, but hidden from your view, the abundance of possibilities. With your new glasses still offering clarity, you're drawn to a still pool of water at the edge of the clearing. As you approach and look down, the reflection shifts and changes, instead of your adult self. You now see yourself as a child looking back at you. Perhaps you're six years old, or 10, or 12, whatever age feels most resonant for you.Look into those younger eyes that still hold dreams without limitations. Notice the openness, the hope, the natural expectation that good things are possible. As you gaze at this younger version of yourself, a question naturally arises.Does this child deserve abundance? Does this child deserve joy, security, fulfillment, and all the good that life can offer? The answer comes without hesitation. Rising from the deepest part of you, of course they do. This child deserves every opportunity to thrive, to be surrounded by beauty, to have their needs met, to explore their gifts and interests. This child is still part of you, still lives within you, and still believes in what the future can hold, if you would wish abundance for that child without question or doubt. Can you not extend the same to yourself now? The worthiness hasn't changed, the deservingness hasn't diminished, it has only been forgotten. Beneath layers of adult doubts and concerns, place your hand over your heart and allow this knowing to sink in deeply. You deserve abundance simply because you exist just as you would want it for any child, including the child you once were. Take one final moment in this garden to feel gratitude for this experience and for your own willingness to open to greater abundance. Then, knowing you can return to this garden whenever you wish, begin to make your way back toward the door through which you entered. As you pass through the door, you bring with you everything you've experienced, your clarified vision, your sense of worthiness, your expanded perspective. These will continue working within you even as you sleep, planting deep roots in your subconscious mind, creating new patterns of thought and feeling that attract abundance naturally into your life. And now, as I count from 5 to 1, you'll drift deeper into sleep, carrying these seeds of abundance with you into your dreams.5. Feeling yourself settling deeper into comfort. 4. Your body completely relaxed. 3. Your mind peaceful and receptive.2. Drifting closer to the edge of sleep. 1. Letting go completely, knowing that abundance flows to you even as you rest. Allow your body to sink even deeper into your bed now, feeling the perfect support beneath you. Each breath brings you closer to that sweet edge of sleep. Your limbs feel wonderfully heavy, and your thoughts soft and distant like clouds on the horizon. Feel the gentle rhythm of your breathing, the rise and fall of your chest, and the warmth spreading through your body. Everything is exactly as it should be.
